My Back to School Look.

As summer is coming to an end, the start of school is getting closer and closer. While buying school supplies and dorm necessities, I've been coming up with the perfect back to school outfit for me. Here's what I came up with.

For my back to school ensemble, I wanted to go for a grown yet fun and chic look. Instead of your traditional black blazer, I opted for a lightweight burgundy blazer from Nasty Gal. To wear underneath the blazer, I chose a classic white crochet tank. I fell in love with the crochet trend this summer so I wanted to bring it into the fall. I decided to purchase Cheap Monday's black drape shorts to tuck the tank into. Lita's go with any outfit so I had to grab a pair of them, then I just bought a blue tote bag and turquoise earrings (a personal fave) to complete the look.

My apologies.

Sorry for not posting in awhile. I've had a crazy week! I was celebrating my 18th birthday and I was in NJ for awhile to meet my favorite singer Prince Royce. New posts will be up ASAP!

Tuesday's Trends: Fall Fashions

Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, Amanda Seyfried
Summer may not be over but fall is right around the corner and fall fashion trends keep making an appearance on the red carpet and on the street. Today I'll show you four trends that are emerging this fall.

Dress, Shoes, Bag, Sunglasses, Bracelet
Make a statement this fall by going bright and bold with neon colors. Kim Kardashian was spotted in the Meatpacking District of New York City shopping with fiance, Kris Humphries in a neon smock dress and violet platforms.

To get Kim K's look wear an electric yellow (or any bright color of your choice) dress paired with strappy wedges in another bright color. Accessorize with a neutral colored tote bag and a bangle bracelet -- this is a perfect nighttime ensemble and it will surely turn heads.

Top, Pants, Shoes, Bag, Belt, Sunglasses, Bracelet
That's right -- the 70's style wide leg jeans are still going strong and making a transition from summer to fall. A big fan of this trend, Kourtney Kardashian was seen shopping with sister Kim wearing The Georgia from 7 For All Mankind.

In order to achieve Kourt's modernized 70's chic wear a blush colored blouse tucked into TopShop's Moto Indigo Flared Jeans with platforms such as Jeffrey Campbell's Black Pony Hair Litas. Wear a skinny belt, over-sized sunnies, a gold bracelet, and carry a tote bag to accomplish this trend.

Cardigan, Tank, Shorts, Shoes
Fringe detailing has been popping up all over and on different items -- fringe bags, fringe jackets, and now fringe cardigans! Vanessa Hudgens wore a fringe cardi at an event with a snakeskin romper. The fringe cardigan makes her outfit look edgy and fun.

Wear semi-sheer open cardigan with fringe detailing over a wheat colored tank tucked into pink high-waist shorts and black patent ballet flats for a fun and versatile look.

Dress, Sandals, Bag, Belt
In my previous post, Celebrity Style Sunday, Amanda Seyfried was in NYC wearing this polka dot print dress from Nasty Gal. Polka dots have been displayed in Marc Jacobs' and Diane von Furstenberg's collections so we all know that polka dots will be a real hit equivalent to the stripes trend.

For Amanda's sweet and flirty look put on the vintage-inspired, Rosie Shirtdress. The dress is a dusty rose with ivory polka dots and has a button-down front. It looks great paired with a black skinny belt, sandals, and a tote bag.

Celebrity Style Sunday - 7/31/2011

Mila Kunis, Debby Ryan, & Amanda Seyfried
This weekend Mila Kunis, Debby Ryan, and Amanda Seyfried were spotted on the streets of Paris, Vancouver, and New York looking young, edgy, and modern. Keep reading for alternate, cheaper outfits inspired by Mila, Debby, and Amanda.

Mila Kunis - Parisian Casual
Jacket, Shirt, Pants, Flats, Bag
Friends With Benefits star, Mila Kunis was in Paris this weekend shopping at Celine. She looked feminine and cool in a beige jacket, light straight leg jeans, with black patent flats. For accessories she carried a brown bag and wore a classic pair of aviators.

Mila's ensemble is perfect for Paris -- she looks effortlessly chic in a simple outfit. Her outfit proves that a nice jacket can really amp up the classy factor to a pair of casual denim jeans. Not only does she look elegant, Mila looks cool and comfortable -- comfort is always important while out shopping and is always what I go for when I'm buying clothes.

Debby Ryan - Ready for Combat
Shirt, Pants, Boots, Bag
Eighteen year old actress, Debby Ryan, mostly known for playing "Bailey Pickett" on Disney Channel's The Suite Life On Deck looked edgy this weekend while out with a group of friends in Vancouver. She hit the streets in a blue-button down over a white shirt, black high-waist jeans, and a pair of lace-up combat boots.

This look is great for fall. Get Debby's edgy appearance by wearing combat boots!

Amanda Seyfried - Little Polka Dot Dress
Dress, Sandals, Bag, Sunglasses
Amanda Seyfried was "spotted" in the East Village neighborhood of NYC this weekend in the fun pattern -- polka dots. Wear a pair of beige or tan sandals with a reddish color polka dot dress and accessorize with a black cross body bag and a pair of Wayfarer sunglasses to achieve Amanda's fun and flirty look.

P.S. Sorry for the late post, yesterday was my cousin Emily's wedding :)

Friday's Find: MinkPink Tie Dye Slasher Flick Cutoff Shorts

Every Friday, I scour my favorite online stores for a piece of clothing that I believe everyone should check out. This Friday, I found these MinkPink cutoff shorts. MinkPink makes cutoff shorts in all different colors but these ones spoke to me because, they're tie dye! These hot pink, turquoise, navy, and white high-waist denim shorts are perfect for spring, summer, and even fall!

The shorts.
Outfit creation:
Here are three ways to wear MinkPink's Tie Dye Slasher Flick Cutoff Shorts

Modern Preppy
Shirt, Shorts, Shoes, Bag, Bracelets
Look modern, yet preppy while out on the town. Wear a white button-down shirt tucked into the tie dye cutoffs. The hot pink, turquoise, navy, and white shorts make the preppy pieces of the outfit look fun and modernized. For accessories, wear black gladiator sandals, some colored bangles and carry a black cross body bag.

Hippie Chic
Shirt, Shorts, Shoes, Bag, Ring
Take your style back to the 60's and 70's by wearing a flower-patterned lace top with the tie dye shorts and a pair of Lita platform boots in slate suede. This outfit is modern and chic, lace and platform boots have been a must-have this year. Add some hippie flair by accessorizing with a brown suede fringe bag and a turquoise cocktail ring.

Laid-Back Lady
Shirt, Shorts, Shoes, Bag, Earrings
By wearing a graphic-tee cut out at the shoulders in white with the tie dye shorts and a pair of grey jersey Keds you'll look laid-back, perfect for a lazy weekend. Add some chic accessories for a more feminine look such as a satchel bag and feathered earrings.

What I Want In My Closet Wednesday

What I Want In My Closet Wednesday2

In less than a month I'll be attending FIT and moving to NYC so I've been eying new clothes for my closet and more specifically, clothing for the fall. Here are some items I've been wanting to buy!

I love the maxi dress trend and I have yet to own one! Neutral colors have always been a personal favorite of mine as well. I could convert this summer trend to fall-friendly by wearing a jean jacket over it.

Crochet has been a key fashion statement this summer and I'm planning on continuing the trend into fall. So why not wear a long sleeve crochet top with a comfy pair of jeans to go for a laid-back fall look?

Blazers are always a must have in my closet. I own plenty of black and navy ones but I want to add more color into my wardrobe so opting for this pretty, peach blazer will make a neutral-toned outfit pop.

70's style is really growing on me, just like this ivory, chiffon dress with a plunging back and lattice-like detailing. I could really accessorize this versatile dress.

Despite the steep price, I'm in love with these shorts. Everyone who knows me, knows I adore anything leopard print and these faux-suede shorts are no exception. I could wear these with fall must-haves, combat boots.

Every fashionista has heard of the Lita. I've been wanting a pair for so long now, I'm planning on snagging a pair before the move to NYC.

Another leopard print item that would be perfect for fall. Just give me a pair of combat boots and a black tee to wear with it!

This taupe colored cardi will be perfect for keeping me warm on a chilly fall day and I could wear it with just about anything.
